Purchased in October 1998 with a loan from the Okanogan County Electric Cooperative. The payments made to the Co-op are placed in a revolving loan account where businesses, non-profit corporations and public agencies can apply for low interest loans. The payments made by Aero Methow Rescue Service for the ambulances continue to revolve and help the community.

1- Ambulance
This ambulance is stationed in Mazama and is staffed with volunteer Aero Methow Rescue Service EMT’s.



Advanced Life Support Quick Response Vehicles

These vehicles are equipped with all the medical equipment and supplies found in the ambulances. There primary function is to respond initially to the scene and so that the Paramedic may begin emergency care. The on call Paramedic is assigned a vehicle for their shift.

2- Ford Expedition 4x4 – equipped with emergency medical equipment.

1- Ford Excursion  4x4 - equipped with a winch, emergency medical equipment and search and rescue equipment.

1- GMC Suburban 4x4– equipped with emergency medical equipment and has stretcher.

1-GMS Suburban 4x4 - equipped with emergency medical equipment and has a stretcher. The equipment in this vehicle is packaged for use in off road emergencies such as search and rescues, wildfires and multicasualty incidents.

All emergency response vehicles are equipped with 2 2-way radios and cell phones. The ambulances are equipped with a Zoll – multifunction cardiac monitor/biphasic defibrillator/pacer/12 lead unit and the quick response vehicles carry a defibrillator. Each ambulances has an automatic blood pressure unit, 3 port IV pump, portable and fixed suction, 3 back boards, pediatric kit, pediatric restraint, fixed and portable oxygen, emergency medications, airway management supplies, Multi-Casualty Incident supplies, vacuum splints, OB kit, burn and trauma care supplies, body substance isolation kits and miscellaneous emergency supplies. The ambulances are stocked with the mandatory equipment as regulated by the State of Washington and equipment deemed essential from years of service!

GPS, head lamps, extra clothes for rescuers, backpacks, patient packaging system – a sophisticated sleeping bag for injured people, has multiple zippers for patient assess and hood that protects the head, extra supplies for injured person and their party, tarps and essential equipment for overnight rescues.
